Overview
TB-500 is a synthetic version of the naturally occurring Thymosin Beta-4 peptide. In the context of hair loss, its primary role is combating the scalp fibrosis and chronic inflammation that progressively suffocate follicles in androgenetic alopecia. It also promotes cell migration, a key process in follicle cycling.
Mechanism of Action
Sequesters G-actin to modulate cytoskeletal dynamics. Upregulates MMP-2 to remodel excess extracellular matrix (fibrosis) around follicles. Anti-inflammatory via downregulation of NF-κB and pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, TNF-α).
