GHK-Cu

Copper Peptide

The gold standard for hair follicle regeneration

Overview

GHK-Cu (glycine-histidine-lysine copper) is the most studied peptide for hair restoration. It activates hair follicle stem cells, prolongs the anagen (growth) phase, and increases follicle size. Naturally present in human plasma, it declines sharply after age 30 — exactly when hair loss accelerates.

Mechanism of Action

Binds copper ions and activates Wnt/β-catenin signaling in dermal papilla cells, upregulating growth factors including VEGF and IGF-1 locally. Extends anagen phase by suppressing apoptosis in follicle matrix cells.

Pathway

Wnt/β-catenin + VEGF upregulation
